Buried In The Fine Print On Amazon.com Could Be A Hint That The Human Race Is Doomed

We’ve all done it…

We hit the agree button rather than reading the fine print. But what we’re really doing is rolling the die, assuming these major corporations have our best interests in mind. It’s way easier than reading the Terms and Conditions.

But one careful user ACTUALLY read said fine print for Amazon’s new video game creation software Lumberyard. He discovered something that may or may not hint at an impending zombie apocalypse…does Amazon know something we don’t?

At first, the stale copy reads like a standard Terms and Conditions document, but about halfway through condition 57.10 on Amazon’s Lumberyard software, sh*t gets real.

Here’s the entire foreboding quote:

“This restriction will not apply in the event of the occurrence (certified by the United States Centers for Disease Control or successor body) of a widespread viral infection transmitted via bites or contact with bodily fluids that causes human corpses to reanimate and seek to consume living human flesh, blood, brain or nerve tissue and is likely to result in the fall of organized civilization.”

Given that Lumberyard is designed to help users create their own video games, my first assumption is that this was just a nerdy little joke that their target audience of gamers/coders might appreciate. Then again, Amazon made about $107 billion last year, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they are the ones to know about a zombie apocalypse before anyone else.
